The Real is Back!

This has to be one of the most anticipated mixtapes of 2011 Jeezy Is Back!  The mixtape titled "The Real is Back" hosted by DJ Drama (if you had to guess) is one word "Hot."  Released on Datpiff on 05/28/2011 and already over 100k downloads! Need I say more?

W.I.F.Y.

You gotta check this out people.  Atlanta-based group W.I.F.Y (We Incarnate Your Fears) for you who I know were dying to know what the abbreviation stood for has been making serious noise in the Atlanta scene recently at some lounges.  These dudes have been making music for quite sometime now and its deserving that they get their shine.  Keep it up guys and keep the good music coming. Check the links and hear  for yourself.

And He's Still Doin What You Cant

If you havent heard, there is an artist in Atl by the name of J-Rel who is making a buzz with a hit song titled "Doin What You Cant." featuring C-Styles. This track is racking up views on worldstarhiphop on a daily basis.  J-Rel is gonna be at Level 3 lounge this Memorial Day weekend for the Bricksquad MMI Bash.  If your in Ga you should come and check this out!

Soulja Summer

With the Hit Mixtapes 1Up and Juice SODMG leader Soulja Boy is back with another hit song "My Playa"  This track really rides nice and just shows how much work SB is putting in on a daily basis.  He's doin something right if hes shittin on everybody with that 2012 Bentley.  I see u Soulja

On One

I know all of you have heard the hit song by Drizzy featuring Rozay and Weezy " Im on One" but, just to let you know Drake's got some other hot shit out right now.  Check out the song "Dreams Money can Buy" and also "Wildfire" and these should give you an idea of whats coming from Drake when his album drops.

Blowin Up

Everybody needs to start payin attention to the kid who's got everyone sayin "Wat Yo Name Iz"  Up and coming blaizing artist Kirko Bangz is doin his thing out here in the industry as of late.  If you havent heard of him or heard the song I have no clue where in the hell you have been.  Check out the mixtape Procrastination Kills 3 and hear for yourself.

Its Official!

ITS OFFICIAL! Lil Wayne is gonna be dropping the Carter IV on June 21, 2011.  Not too sure of the tracklist just yet but everyone and I mean everyone already knows this is gonna be one of if not the best album of 2011! Stay tuned for more!

Wale World

DC and MMG’s own Wale is by far one of the best lyricist in the game as we speak.  With his clever wordplay and ear-catching rhythms, one can’t help but to download every track he puts out.  He is recently featured in Black Cobain’s video “4 am” which is a banger if you haven’t heard it.  Also be on the lookout for Wale and Meek Mill with a song called “100 hunnit.” Like he stated, “my opinion is monumental.”

New on the scene

As you people may have seen in some of my previous posts, there is a rising artist in Atlanta by the name of J-Rel who is starting to make a buzz on the scene after his video “Doin what you Can’t.”  I highly recommend checking out the link and watching the video to see what Im talking about for yourself.  J-Rel, keep up the good work cause its gonna be major.

2 Pac is Back!

One of XXL 2011 Freshman of the Year is the up and coming Philly artist Meek Mill.  Also, a member of MMG, Milly is blazing on the scene of hip-hop with his current hit title “2Pac Back” ft. Rick Ross.  If you haven’t heard this track then I don’t know what to say about you.  People definitely need to be on the lookout for Meek Mill and with his flows about the struggle and come up how can you not feel this man’s music.  MMG Bitch

The Takeover

This is by far the biggest Takeover in the Music Industry since Diddy and Bad Boy.  Rick Ross has created a industry monster with Maybach Music Group.  Ross is one of the best business-minded individuals in the game besides Diddy and Baby.  Ross doesn’t look like he’s stopping anytime soon, especially with the highly anticipated album entitled”Self Made” which comes out on May 24th or “Maybach 23rd.”  All I can say is MMG Bitch

Thumbs Up!

Mac Miller has been making noise in the music industry since 2009 and it seems that 2011 just might be the year of the Mac.  This 19 yr old Pittsburgh based rapper has very calm beats and dope flows that you just cant help but listen to.  The style that Mac Miller brings to the games puts him the the category of music in which I view Curren$y, which involves not too hard beats but the rhyming is str8 ridiculous.  Check out the hit mixtape K.I.D.Sand his most recent mixtape Best Day Ever and hear for yourself.

Still Doin what U Can’t

So everybody needs to check out my boi J-Rel and they day 3 behind the scenes video of his hit song “Doin What You Cant.”  People, I cant stress how much this song rides and J-Rel is on his sh!t with this one.  How many people do you know have a day 3 of a video shoot? or a day three of anything? Like the title says, “Doin what you cant” Check out the link.

Tatted UP

This post is dedicated to the up and coming LA-based rapper Kid Ink.  No its not Tyga and no its not Wiz, Kid Ink has been making hot music for quite sometime now and I suggest anyone who likes music to get some Ink in your life.  Listen to the recent mixtape released by Kid Ink titled Roll Up, with features from Gudda Gudda, The New Boyz, and Lil Twist and hear for yourself the noise that Kid Ink is making not only on the west coast but also on the east coast.

Loso’s Got Soul

There’s not too much I can say about this one.  C’mon people if you dont download this mixtape you might as well consider yourself stupid.  Loso just released his mixtape titledThe Soul Tape with appearances by Red Cafe, Freck Billionaire, and Lil Wayne this 14 track mixtape is a must have.  In my opinion its as just as good as an album and hell I’d pay for it.  Follow the link and check it out and DOWNLOAD THIS!

Juiced Up

Ok, so I know I may be a day late on this one but I must say so myself, Soulja got tha Juice!  Coming off of his really nice mixtape 1UP, Soulja Boy released on 4/20 his newest mixtape JUICE.  With appearances by Diamond, JMoney, and 2Chainz I must say this is a classic release from Soulja Boy.  With this mixtape he is definitely making a bold statement for the summer.

Tttrraavveeeyyyyyyy!!!!!!

Travis Porter This is just a lil shout out to Travis Porter since they have been doing their thing for a few years now and they always start my morning off right when I crank up the track "Over Again."  And all you "college girls" check out Travis Porter if you haven't already because I think they have a thing for yall?

Doin What U Cant

Up and coming Atlanta-based Rapper JRel is in the midst of completing his first major music video for his hit single “Doin What You Cant”  This is a recent shoot so check out the behind the scenes for Days 1 and 2. Also how could I forget, the song is hot too.  Be on the lookout for JRel because he is definitely up to something major.

Snapback to reality

So this first post is going to be dedicated to the all mighty snapback hat.  Once worn by your father and grandfather in the late 80′s and throughout the 90′s is now back and here to stay.  As an alternative to wearing a regular fitted hat which may be too big or too small, the snapback is definitely my choice for a hat.  These hats have been made infamous by two people in my opinion boyeee and thats Big Sean and Tyga.  Big Seanis definitely the snapback trend-setter with a wide variety of snapbacks, primarily those made by Taz Arnold TI$A, but Tyga is definitely not slipping as he mentions on his new mixtape Black Thoughts 2 that he has 1200 snapbacks.  No lie.  Definitely check your local hatclub or hatshack or jump online to neweracap.com ormitchellandness.com to join the snapback movement.

Music of the Week

Now here is just a little reminder as to what should be playing in  your Ipod right now.  The top two albums of my choice for the week are of course Wiz Khalifa’s Rolling Paperswhich is definitely an album that is going to be played constantly across the nation.  Next, is an album of my choice, which I believe if you havent heard it you should definitely find it quick.  This is Curren$y’s album Pilot Talk 2.  If you are a Curren$y fan then you should already have this but if not then your gonna love it.  And your probably wondering who in the world is this attractive lady between the weed, well this is the lady behind the mixtape that caught my eye this week and she goes by the name of Rasheeda.  Yes, Rasheeda…remember her?  Well she is back with her extremely good mixtape Boss Bitch Music Vol.3.  With covers over Make It Rain, Hustle Hard, and Racks on Racks, Rasheeda definietly put herself back on the map with this one.

Basegod’s Album is going to be Gay?

Lil B recently announced at Cochella that he is planning on making an album titled “Im Gay.”  I do rock with the Basegod but even I must say this is going to be something…what, I have no idea.  Follow The link to listen to the announcement.
